Simon Thorp, Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Upholders & Freeman of the City of London
I became a Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Upholders in January 2014, having in 2012 become the first Friend of the Upholders in the Company’s history, and then a Freeman in 2013.
The Upholders Company was formed on 1 March 1360 and officially incorporated by a Royal Charter granted by Charles I in 1626. The Company is 49th in the order of precedence for Livery Companies.
I also became a Freeman of the City of London in 2013.
